Antibiotice Iași, a nursery for careers in the pharmaceutical industry of Moldova

  • Antibiotice Iași launches an innovative project dedicated to training the new generation of specialists in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • The project is called “Education in Action: Improving Accessibility and Relevance of Vocational and Technical Education through Internship Programs at Antibiotice S.A.” and is co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Education and Employment Program 2021-2027.
  • The total value of the project exceeds 2.45 million lei.

At the beginning of 2025, Antibiotice company launched the “Education in Action” project, aimed at students from pre-university, vocational, and technical education. The project is co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Education and Employment Program 2021-2027 and will take place over 36 months. This initiative aligns with Antibiotice’s strategy to attract professionals in technical fields to support the company’s future strategic development.

Educational partnerships for the future of the pharmaceutical industry

The beneficiaries are 254 students from high schools in Iași, partners in the project: “Petru Poni” Technical High School, “Mihail Sturdza” Technical College, and Mechatronics and Automation Technical High School.

Specialization and employment opportunities for talented youth

The selected young people will participate in training sessions held at Antibiotice’s headquarters in Iași, conducted by company specialists and pharmaceutical experts with in-depth knowledge of international production and quality standards. These internships will allow students to acquire key skills, technical knowledge, and practical abilities within a top pharmaceutical company, developing essential skills for their professional success. The students will be qualified for professions such as: laboratory chemical technician, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry operator, electromechanic, mechanical technician for maintenance and repairs, mechatronics technician, low-voltage electrician, and automation technician. At the end of the 3-year project, graduates will have the opportunity to be employed by Antibiotice in various technical professions.

Thus, the a+ Academy aligns with the company’s long-term vision of strengthening teams of professionals prepared to face future challenges. Through this project, co-financed by European funds, we aim to contribute to the growth of a new generation of professionals who can support the development of the pharmaceutical industry”, said Ioan Nani, General Director of Antibiotice Iași.
